Rules & Timing
- 5/24 rule: Chase denies applicants who have opened 5+ cards (any issuer) in the past 24 months. Apply all Chase cards before Amex/Capital One personal cards.
- Sapphire exclusivity: You cannot hold both CSP and CSR simultaneously. Product-change CSP → CSR after the CSP bonus posts to avoid the hard pull.
- 48-month bonus clock: You must wait 48 months from the date you last received a Sapphire welcome bonus before you can earn another.
- 30-day spacing: Chase's internal guidelines recommend waiting at least 30 days between Chase applications to avoid an automatic denial.
